Embedded Behavioral Health Clinician
Rachel received her master’s degree from Walla Walla University in Washington State. Before moving to North Carolina, she worked in a residential facility with older adults with chronic mental illness and later in private practice focusing on women and teens. In North Carolina, Rachel worked with children in Asheville City Schools and completed comprehensive clinical assessments at an area walk-in clinic, fine tuning her assessment skills. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing in session.
While in college, Rachel worked as a CNA at the local hospital, continuing the family tradition of medical care. Working closely with first responders in the ER, as well as having many close friends who are first responders has grown her respect and admiration for those who selflessly care for others. Rachel is honored to give back using her counseling knowledge and skills.
