Amanda Lutz

Amanda received her master’s degree from Western Carolina University’s Clinical Psychology program. Amanda focuses on providing client-centered quality therapy using empirically-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Amanda has worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, mood, ADHD, trauma, and psychotic disorders.
Amanda has assisted the Western North Carolina Peer Support Network by providing clinical support in debriefings and crisis management briefings to support first responders and deliver specialized post-critical incident services to emergency personnel.
Amanda comes to the Responder Support Services team with experience working in a group private practice, in community outreach mental health teams to provide at-risk families with support, family relationship interventions, substance use and domestic violence issues, extensive training in comprehensive psychological assessment (testing) to provide accurate or differential diagnoses and treatment plans, including cognitive, academic, emotional, behavioral, executive functioning, personality assessment, among others. She believes in providing a therapeutic focus on the whole person and supporting her client in increasing their overall functioning in an open, and non-judgmental atmosphere. Amanda provides group and individual therapy with adults, adolescents, and children.
