Amy earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Roanoke College in 2017 and her Master’s in Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019. She is actively pursuing full licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS). 

Amy previously worked in Charlotte, NC as a primary therapist at a dual diagnosis treatment center where she focused on providing evidence-based treatment to those struggling with both substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses. Prior, Amy worked as a therapist and team lead on an Assertive Community Treatment Team where she focused on providing treatment to those struggling with severe and persistent mental illness. Prior to becoming a clinical counselor, Amy volunteered as a firefighter and EMT for her local department while working as a dispatcher for the Roanoke College campus police.
