Morgan Gibbard

Clinician

Morgan received her Master of Social Work from Appalachian State University. She is currently working towards becoming a licensed social worker as an LCSWA. Watauga County is home, and she enjoys the mountains and rivers with her German Shepherd Gunner. She also has a bachelor's degree in psychology focusing on Addiction and Recovery from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Appalachian State University.

Throughout her education, Morgan gained experience in high-trauma and crisis situations. Her experiences involve working with inpatient youth, human trafficking survivors, and responding with community paramedics on dispatch calls. Additionally, Morgan is fifth generation military and served as a combat medic with a physical therapy identifier in the U.S. Army Reserves for ten years.

With these experiences, she highly values creating a healing and supportive therapeutic environment for first responders. She understands how exciting and vital these jobs are and how difficult they can be. Morgan uses evidence-based practice in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help her clients thrive in their environment instead of survive.
