Jessica Smith
MA, LCMHC, Clinician
Jessica received her master’s degree from Western Carolina University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Jessica focuses on providing quality therapy using empirically-based treatments including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Jessica has worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, mood and psychotic disorders. She specializes in substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment.
Jessica is the Embedded Behavioral Health clinician with Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and Buncombe County EMS. In this role, Jessica delivers brief interventions and individual therapy to LEOs and EMS personnel and provides consultation to these departments at various levels. Jessica is a clinician on the Western North Carolina Peer Support Network, participating in Debriefings, Defusings and Crisis Management Briefings to support and deliver specialized post-critical incident services to emergency personnel in Western North Carolina. Jessica is also fully credentialed with the 911 World Trade Center Health Program.
Jessica has worked on an Assertive Community Treatment Team, in an outpatient substance abuse agency and was the director of a community program working with individuals struggling with domestic violence issues. Jessica provides group and individual therapy with adults and adolescents. She believes in providing a therapeutic focus on the whole person and supporting her clients in increasing their overall well-being.
