Trisha Duran

Clinician

Trisha graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University where she received her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work with a concentration on biblical counseling and trauma studies. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Work with an emphasis on substance use disorders from Northern Michigan University.

Trisha has gained experience as a clinician working in both private practice, inpatient, and intensive outpatient centers. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults and her most rewarding work has been providing equine mental health therapy to veterans and their families. She believes in the importance of a holistic approach to therapy, exploring each individual’s unique biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Trisha’s approach is client-centered, using an integrative theoretical approach that combines concepts and techniques from Acceptance and Commitment and Cognitive-Behavioral therapies. She can also provide Christian-centered, biblically based counseling, upon request. Trisha is both a nurturing and direct therapist, who has a heart and passion for helping others.

Trisha admires first responders for their commitment in service to others and their courage in the face of the unknown. She was active duty in the United States Coast Guard and with her experience within the military first response/search and rescue community, she has great respect for those who put their lives in harms way to serve and protect others. There is no greater love than when a person is willing to lay down their life for another.
